

She was born February 20, 1915, daughter of the late Karl Herman Walther and Henrietta Johanna Becker Walther. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her sister, Margaret Hohf; brother-in-law, Mel Hohf; and sister-in-law, Emily Buchta.
She is survived by her loving family, including her daughters, Barbara Osadcky and Pembrooke, and Carol Meuser and husband, Phil; grandchildren, John Meuser and Lisa Meuser and husband, Wes Lasher; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Grant Ashley and Kathrynn Meuser; and brother-in-law, Andrew Buchta; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Elise was a former resident of River Hills Plantation in Lake Wyle, SC. She loved traveling, bridge, reading, needlework and gardening. She will be especially remembered in River Hills for the handmade golf sweaters, pepper jelly, pickles, and freezer jam she contributed to the church bazaars. She will also be remembered at Aldersgate for her kind words and pleasant smile.
A service to celebrate Elise’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 23rd at the Aldersgate Chapel, 3800 Shamrock Drive in Charlotte. Her family will receive friends following the service. Interment in River Hills Cemetery will be private.
The family would like to thank the staff of Aldersgate for their love and care. We will all miss her very much.
