Born December 9th, 1944 in Kingston, Jamaica, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand Bramwell and Laurel Bramwell. After graduating high school in Jamaica, Eleanor furthered her education and studied health care in Montreal, Canada. There, she worked in many areas in the medical field during her time in Canada. She then relocated to New York where she met the love of her life, Tony. They married on September 4th 1976.
The absolute joy of Eleanor’s life was her family. She loved her husband, Anthony “Tony” O’Rane. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who she came into contact with. She was immersed herself in her children’s and grandchildren's lives and attended as many of their plays, school events and sporting activities as possible.
Eleanor was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. From Rockland county, to Cranbury, to Davie and then to Mouzon and Woodlawn she was an active participant in each community, and her strong faith never wavered.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Anthony O’Rane and two children; her son, Jolyon O’Rane of East Windsor NJ; her daughter, Anne Philpott of Charlotte NC; her son-in-law, Brooke Philpott; her daughter-in-law, Alexis O’Rane; and five beloved grandchildren: Maya Philpott, Wesley Philpott, Luke Philpott, Addison O’Rane, Carmen O’Rane; as well as her sister, Pauline Bramwell and her brothers, Karl Bramwell and Courtney Bramwell.
