He graduated from Paw Creek High School in 1950 where he met his wife Dot. Lefty loved reminiscing about old times which involved his life in the Moores Chapel Community where he lived most all of his life. His home is next to the homeplace where he grew up.
Lefty enjoyed collecting and working on antique tractors and automobiles. He has six tractors in his collection and the latest addition was a 1929 Model A Ford which was the type car he began driving at age 14. He loved spending time at his summer home on Lake Norman as well as with his family. He retired from BellSouth in 1986 after 37 years of service and was a faithful member of Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Price and several step-brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Rogers Price; sons, Jerry Price and wife Paula; Sam Price and wife Judy; grandchildren, Jason Price, Anna Davenport, Matthew Price, Brian Price and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Garden Memorial Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
