Dorothy Miller

Dorothy L. Miller, age 93, of Charlotte passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at White Oak Manor.

She was born April 30, 1920 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina the daughter of the late Lester D. Marze and Nora L. Marze. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Smith Miller; son, Larry Miller; four brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Miller proudly served her country in the US Army during WWII. She was a member of the Eastern Star West Gate Lodge, Chapter No. 343. Dorothy was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and will be deeply missed by all.

Surviving are her son, Doug Miller, Sr. and wife Jane of Holden Beach; grandson, Doug Miller, Jr. and wife Heather; and great grandchildren, Ansley and Clayton Miller.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205.
