Doris Noles Redd, 81, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013. She was born October 13, 1931 in Charlotte, NC and was the daughter of the late Herman W. Noles and Adele Bridges Noles. She married her high school sweetheart Frank Redd on May 5, 1951. They were both native to Charlotte and graduated from Central High School in 1949 and were married for 52 years when Frank passed away in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister Martha Noles Euhus. She is survived by her brothers, Herman W. Noles, Jr. and John R. Noles, her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Austin and Joyce Middleton; her four children, Frank Redd, Jr. and wife Lilliana, Wyndy Rorie, Julie McQueen and husband Craig and Scott Redd. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Allison King, husband Steven, Drew McQueen, wife Ashley, Clark McQueen, wife Tia, Will Rorie, Leigh Redd, Caroline Rorie, Franklin Redd and Max Arbelo and two great grandchildren, Nolan King and Andrew McQueen.
Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and will always be remembered as the wonderful lady she was.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Walls, Dr. Qureshi, Dr. McCrea, and the staff at Presbyterian Hospital for the professional and compassionate care she received.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. A private burial will be held at a later date.
