Donna Brinton

Donna J Brinton 87 passed away peacefully in her home with her 4 children by her side. Donna was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 5, 1931. She grew up at Homewood Cemetery where her father was grounds keeper. Donna graduated from Grove City College with a secretary degree and this is where she met her soul mate John Brinton. John and Donna were married on June 7, 1953 and were married 63 years before John’s passing last July.

Donna was an outstanding mother and wife raising 4 children and taking care of John. Through the years Donna became an avid golfer making very good friends during her years involved in the golfing community. Donna worked the Kemper open for many years. She also was up every Election Day working the poles for her precinct. Donna loved to play bridge and was a member of many bridge groups.

Once her children left for college she owned and operated a Nautilus Fitness Center while living in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Donna became a real-estate agent and broker once they moved to Charlotte and became quite a business person.

Donna had the best personality and loved to have fun, dance and just be silly. She had a smile that twinkled right thorough her eyes.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Sharon Presbyterian Church, 5201 Sharon Road, Charlotte beginning at 1:00 pm.

Donna is survived by her 4 children Sheryl and her husband Eddie, Tom and his wife Christy, David and Bob. She is also survived by her sister Sandy and her husband Don.

Grandma also has 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
