Donald C. Massey

Born March 2, 1936 in Charlotte, Mr. Massey was a son of the late Henry H. and Myrtle Hargett Massey. He was a devoted Christian and a dedicated member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher.

Mr. Massey is survived by Mary S. Massey, his wife of 54 years; and their children, Donnie Massey of Charlotte, Lisa Kiser of Concord and Tim Massey of Charlotte; as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchild, all of whom he dearly loved. Also surviving are a brother, Henry Massey of Mt. Holly, and one sister, Hazel Barnett of Charlotte.

A daughter, Susan Massey, preceded him in death.

A service to celebrate Mr.Massey’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 20 in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home with his pastor, Rev. Ray Rippy, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
