Donald Brown

Born on September 19, 1954 in Anderson County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Levis Brown and Dorothy Hamilton. Following graduation from Pendleton High School, Donald attended and graduated from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina where he earned his degree in Social Sciences in 1977. At his university, Donald was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. Upon relocation to Charlotte, he became a Firefighter for the City of Charlotte for eight years. Donald then pursued his dream of business ownership as owner of "A Liberty Mover's".

He leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife of 41 years, Clementine; sons Mayfield and Jason of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister Clara Doris Young of Pendleton, South Carolina; brothers Jimmy Brown of Belton, South Carolina, Clyde Brown (Johnnie) of Anderson, South Carolina, Levis Brown, Jr. (Jutta) of Pendleton, South Carolina; and one granddaughter, Danissa Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Donald will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 12:00PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC.

Following the Celebration of Life will be a committal service at 2:00PM at York Memorial Park, 5150 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28217.
