Mr. Don Harlan Holt

Don Harlan Holt, age 82, passed away at home May 10, 2016, surrounded by his family. Don was born August 1, 1933, in Albemarle, NC to the late Stellar Vance Holt and Lottie Efird Holt. He graduated from West Mecklenburg High School, attended Charlotte College, and retired after 30 years of service as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Carnrick Laboratories Inc. Don was an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Gideons International and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty Clark Holt; sons, Michael Holt and wife Ann of Concord, NC, and Kevin Holt of Lowesville, NC; and four grandchildren, Karrie, Katie, Emma and Alex Holt. Also, brother, Carroll Holt and wife Belinda of Midlothian, VA; and sister-in-law, Helen Holt of Cornelius, NC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Corbett Holt and Powell Holt, and a sister, Audrey Holt.

A service to celebrate his life will be at Covenant United Methodist Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016, with Reverend Dr. Fredrick Bowman and Reverend Dr. Don Haynes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm; interment at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, 6824 Tuckaseegee Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214 or Calvary Lutheran Church Youth Ministry, 950 Bradley St, Concord, NC 28025.
