Dewey was born on February 14th,1943 to Francis and Fanny Cagle.
He enjoyed his career of being a truck driver for 43 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Margaret Cagle.
He is also survived by his loving children; Randy Cagle (Cheryl), Dina Blizzard (Danny), four grandchildren; Justin Matthew (Alli), Cheyenne Williams (Shane), Asha Cagle and Kendra Cagle, eight great-grandchildren; Payton Matthews, Kiley Matthews, Brayden Matthews, Gavin Mathews, Gracie Matthews, Kai Williams, Remi Williams and Isabella Williams, as well as his sisters; Linda Heilig and Susan.
Dewey was preceded in death by his late grandson; Steven Matthews, four sisters and one brother.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service for Dewey will be held on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dewey's memory may be made to Atrium Health - Levine Children's Hospital.
