Dawn was born February 12, 1961 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Judith Winscher.
She attended South High School, and during that time she worked at Charcoal Inn, her favorite.
Soon after, she started a career in health care, she loved and was loved by all the people she cared for through those years.
Dawn re-connected with her high school sweetheart in 2011 and moved to Belize, and married shortly after. She spent 5 years there before moving to Pineville, North Carolina, where she started retirement.
Dawn’s true passion was cooking, and her friends and family were passionate about eating it. You would always see her in the kitchen when you visited, working on her next food masterpiece.
Her vacations were always spent back in Wisconsin visiting her family.
She loved to sit out on her deck watching the birds and reminding me the feeder was low!
Seven years ago she brought home her companion, Ollie, a 3.5 pound Chihuahua, whom she loved like her child. The two of them were inseparable to the end and he too is grieving her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Dale and her companion Ollie, three children, Christopher Schlieve, Courtney Blei, Kevin Schlieve and two grandchildren, Carson Schlieve and Hazel Blei, whom she loved dearly.
Dawn is also survived by two sisters, Val Kangas(Mike) and Linda Hernandez and two brothers, Kevin Saeger(Regina) and Shawn Saeger(Georgia), plus many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Judith and sister, Brenda.
There will be a celebration of Dawn’s life in the summer of 2025 in Wisconsin, near all her friends and family.
