I am so happy that I made effort to see my Uncle Dave. He lived so far but I drove the distance just to see the little family I have. We had heart to heart conversations about life that I will always remember.

My heart and condolences go out to Dave's family.  I've had Dave as a friend since kindergarten at May V. Smith Elementary school in Lincoln Park, Michigan.  We remained friends through graduation from Lincoln Park High School.  We visited at the high school reunions we attended as adults and we had a picture taken with the "the Smith school gang."  He was always a fun, great guy and everyone that knew him will always remember those qualities that made him special.  I will always remember his big, ear to ear smile and good nature.  How happy he was to see you at reunions -- he picked up right where you left off.  I recently reconnected with him on Facebook and am so fortunate to have known him.  I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.  My prayers are with his family.

Dave has been my friend since I was 5 yrs old. Cleveland street, Lincoln Park, MI.  I have many memories from our childhood, teens through adulthood   Maybe we did not see each other much but somehow always connected back, like time never passed. You will be deeply missed. I feel strange knowing your gone but have comfort  knowing,  through you, a friendship with your loving wife Carol and son Scott.  Rest In Peace dear friend.

Dave an I were best friends for 24 years. He was my neighbor and like a 2nd brother to me. We always had a great time bowling together, going to breakfast, talking cars,movies and music or just sitting on his porch having a couple of adult beverages and solving the worlds problems. 

He would do anything for anyone and was so kind hearted. I will miss my friend. My life will forever be changed because of our time together. Not having him around is just so hard to imagine.

I remember Dave as quite a character.  He liked to tease me, but underneath it all he was a hard worker, and he was kind-hearted and he loved his family. The world could use a few more like him.

Dave and I became friends in second grade. We went through school together, worked together and went into the service together. Growing up, we were as close as brothers. Years and distance kept us from not seeing each other but conversations a few times a year caught us up. I have so many great stories and memories about him that will keep him with me for the rest of my life. Fred

you will be missed greatly.  i love you with all my heart.  our one on one conversations over breakrasts on saturday mornings really meant the world to me.

We will always remember the trip you took us on to Disney World.  We flew all over the country and once we got there we ate like hogs and had a great time.  You and Tony ate breakfast with Goofy and had your picture taken with him, and enjoyed it!

I will always remember the time when we came down and Dave took us on a 3 hour tour. We drove everywhere, seen everything then came back and relaxed on the porch. Always had a kind heart and good advice. We will deeply miss you.

how to go on without him.  I know God will bring him peace.

Dave was a good friend and neighbor of mine and I will miss him and the long talks we had on his proch. Dave was always willing to help a friend in need.
