Darin L. Williford, 27, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Monday, March 15, 2011. Darin was a charter employee at IKEA of Charlotte, a home funishing store. Darin was born and raised in Shreveport, LA, and moved to North Carolina in 2008. He left behind many friends and co-workers. Darin was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Williford, of Charlotte, NC.
He is survived by his fiancee, Judy Anderson, of Gastonia, NC, his daughter, Grace WIlliford, of Webster, TX, his sister Lea Williford, of Monroe, LA, his grandmother, Dr. Jane Knight, of Huntersville, NC and his step-mother and father, Sonia and Leo Williford, of Shreveport, LA.
A memorial service will be held for Darin on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 7:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service - Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road in Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road Suite 200 Charlotte, NC 28210.
