

During Dan’s career he was a cutting edge leader of mobile communications. In the 1980’s he was a project manager with Verizon wireless and later owned and operated his own company, Moss Communication Services.
Dan was a faithful and active member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Charlotte. He served as a Deacon in the church and through his musical talent and background, he lead the church choir.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman who loved being outdoors. He served 3 years in the Army and when discharged from active duty in 1958 he joined the Army Reserves completing his duty in 1964,
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 55 years, Doris Elizabeth Greene Moss; children, Jeff Moss; Christopher Moss and wife, Nora; Angie Hall and husband Ron; grandchildren, Courtney Moss, Cameron Moss, Amanda Moss and Kaitlyn Hall; brothers, Ed Moss and Alan Moss.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Clyde Moss, Jr. and sister, Mariane Hicks.
A Service to Celebrate Dan’s Life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 21, 2104 at The Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West,with Pastor David Belle Isle and Pastor Earl Pennell officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dan’s caregivers at Belaire Health Center and Courtyard Terrace for all of their compassion and continuous care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054 or to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1827 Dixon Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
