Conrad Lee Rorie

“Mutt”

Mr. Rorie, age 84, of Charlotte passed away at CMC Main on Saturday, July 21, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 7, 1928 in Charlotte, North Carolina the son of the late Wid and Elsie Rorie. He is preceded in death by brother, William June Rorie; sister, Bobbie J. Mullis, son-in-law, Fred Lapish, Jr. and loving canine companion, Freddy.

Mr. Rorie was an outgoing person who loved spending time at the Hunting Lodge with his friends. He enjoyed fishing, racing, and hunting, was an accomplished bowler winning numerous trophies. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and will be dearly missed by all.

He leaves behind his two loving daughters, Wanda Hartis (Jim) and Jeri Lapish; grandchildren, Shane Herman (Shannan), Jennifer Lytton, Angela Tillman (Charlie), Michele Sampson (John) and Becky McLemore (Cliff); nine great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Rorie; sister-in-law, Mary P. Rorie; two very special nieces, Linda Norton and Sandy Tucker; nephew, Brandon Williams; and numerous other loving family members.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
