Born March 29, 1930 in Dinwiddie County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nelius Loflin and Muriel Talley Loflin. Following graduation from EC Glass High School, Claire worked in a variety of administrative assistant positions for much of her life, as well as being an organist for several churches in both Lynchburg, VA, and Charlotte.
Claire moved with her husband, Reg, and their three children---Joe, Regina, and Chris---to Charlotte from Lynchburg in 1966. Though “transplanted,” she remained a lifelong Virginian, thoroughly enjoying her visits back there and rooting for the Virginia Cavaliers.
She is survived by her children, Regina Graham Love (Shawn) of Charlotte and Chris Graham (Jodie) of Mount Holly; one grandchild, Kate Graham Heil (Luke) of Lexington, KY.
She was preceded in death by Reg, and her son, Joe, as well as each of her six siblings.
Burial will be private in Lynchburg at a later date.
