Cheryl Hartsell Mills, 77, of Mt. Holly, passed away November 21, 2021 in her home. Born August 16, 1944 in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Nellie M. (Brafford) Hartsell. She married Michael L. Mills on September 4, 1964 in York, SC.
A graduate of Myers Park High, Cheryl was formerly employed with the Mecklenburg County School System for more than 30 years.
She enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach, NASCAR, collecting angels, watching crime shows and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy “Nic” (Brian) Hanna and Brenda (Richard) Reinhardt; grandchildren, Cheyann (Will) Heath, Decoda (Hailey) Rodgers, Brian Hanna II, Cambria Couch, Amber Smith, Michael (Brooke) Smith,; great-grandchildren, Nova Goodson, Lawson Smith and Payton Smith; sister, Linda Swartz; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughters, Cindy Couch and Dana Smith; brothers, Larry and Dale Hartsell.
