Cheryl Hoover “Cherry” Harrelson, 74, passed away on April 29, 2021 in Gastonia, NC. She was born on July 26, 1946 to Harry W. Hoover, Sr. and Lillian Gaffney Stubbs. She was married to the love of her life, Thomas Yates Harrelson.
Cherry greatly enjoyed doing crafts, reading her bible, and shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas; her daughter, Jennifer H. (Christopher) Burch; and her brother, Harry W. (Terry) Hoover, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cherry’s name to JDRF, either online or mailed to PO Box 37920, Boone, IA 50037-0920 along with the JDRF donation form.
