Cheryl Elizabeth Abraham, 71, of Charlotte, passed away on August 5, 2020. Born on September 23,1948 in St. Clair, Missouri, she attended St. Clair High School and completed 2 years of college. Cheryl then married her husband, Gene in June of 1972.
She spent most of her life working as a designer/decorator, managing several "Hallmark" stores and was even an escrow analyst at one time.
Cheryl had a passion for gardening, yard work and butterflies. She decorated many gift shops at hospitals and nursing facilities. Cheryl always enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays and even hosted the annual neighborhood "Weiner Roast" on Halloween. She even made her driveway into a haunted trail.
For years, Cheryl would walk the streets of her neighborhood to talk and visit with her neighbors.
She was also a regular at "Five Guys", sometimes visiting multiple times a day.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Carlson and Betty (Hickman) Carlson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gene; sisters, Janet Shreve, Gladys Tapia and Sharon Northup; brothers, Ken Carlson and David (Liza) Carlson; nieces and nephews, Anna Tapia, Elizabeth Carlson and Lawrence Shreve.
