Mr. Parker, 96, went to be with his Lord on June 3, 2024. He was born on April 13, 1928, a son of the late Alfred and Annie Parker in Tampa, FL. He will be reunited with them, his beautiful wife, Harriette, and daughter, Lorie in heaven.
Jack, as he was known by many, was a man of strong faith. Guided by his Lord and Savior in all his walks through life. This has shown through in his dedication as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In his lifetime service to the Boy Scouts, and even down to the passion of his model trains and love shown to those who were in awe of them.
As a faithful servant of God, Jack found his spiritual home at Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church where he was an active life-long member.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Jackson Parker, Jr. and wife Sandy Parker, and Stephen Anderson Parker; his grandkids, Dave Dowell, Ceci Dowell, and Kadee Dowell; his great-grandkids, Megan, Landon, Braydon, Toree, Alaric, Grayson, and Haylee; and his extended family.
Visitation will be held, Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:30 am -12:45 pm at Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd., Charlotte. The service to celebrate his life will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private at Elmwood Cemetery.
