Charles Christian

Charles was born on December 2, 1981 in Charlotte, NC, to Jack and Gail Christian. He had three siblings, Sarah Christian Ratcliffe, John Christian, and Timothy Christian, whom he loved. He was married for fourteen years to Katie Christian and was a loving father to son, Isaac Christian, and late daughter, Katie Grace Christian, with whom he has been reunited.

Charles was a tenacious who loved to serve the Lord by serving people. Whether that was serving the homeless, having deep conversations, complimenting a stranger, or just praying for someone. He believed in community and loved his deeply.

Along with his community, being a father was one of his greatest achievements. Some of his happiest times were in their presence.

Charles was known for his calming presence, smile, jokes, wisdom and his adamant love of the Lord. He made those around him laugh and also challenged them.

Charles will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. We will be comforted by knowing he is free from the sorrows of this life and rejoicing in the presence of His Savior.

A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel.
