Charlene Yvonne Clardy

Charlotte – Charlene Yvonne Clardy, 46, of Charlotte, NC, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 21, 2016. She was a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, where she achieved her RN/BSN degrees. She was the daughter of Charles and Peggy Cantley, of Barboursville, WV.

Charlene was the loving wife of Richard Clardy for 19 years, and the mother of Timothy Clardy, both of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her sister, Angie (Brian) Keyser of Barboursville, WV and many special nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. She also left behind God-parents, Dick and Judy Wolfe of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by four children: Emmanuel, Hannah, Kathy and Charles Clardy. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Cressie Cantley, Frank and Annie Jane Stover and Frances Laverty, and her dear friend, Shera Wolfe.

Throughout the years she enjoyed being a Sunday School Teacher and Children's Ministry Director. She enjoyed crocheting special gifts to share with others. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 6:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 7:00 PM at Sharon Baptist Church. Interment will be in Huntington, WV.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the charity of choice that deals with Special Needs Children.
