Carvin McCray McCorkle, Cobb, Cobbie Daddy or Pawpaw Corkle, age 86, of Charlotte, left his earthly home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 8th. What a legacy he has left behind, born and raised in the Charlotte area to Tiny and Ellis McCorkle, one of eleven siblings. He was the owner of Home Fix-it Service, where he was not only a builder with his hands he was a builder with his heart. Cobb was a retired member of the Drum and Bugle Corps of the Mecklenburg Shriners, and a WWII Navy Veteran. After he lost the love of his life, our mother Joyce, in 2009, he was never quite the same. Time after time he would tell us he was ready to go. He was at peace with The Lord and ready to be with those that had gone before him.
Cobb leaves a large family behind including: Joy and Paul Cuthbertson, Liesl and Mike West, Taylor, Avery... Josh and Ailene Cuthbertson, Hannah, Maggie, Reese...
