Cissy was employed with Duke Power Company for 34 years in the General Service Department. If you wanted to know who, where, why or just rest for a while; go to Cissy’s office and she would greet you with a big smile and try to answer your question.
Cissy was an accomplished softball player and a three-league bowling champion. She received trophies for 5,600 games and a trophy for “all around good sport”.
Cissy taught Children’s Church for 62 years at Sugaw Creek. The little people loved her. When she saw “her Children” her smile lit up the room. The same would happen if she saw anyone she wanted to speak with and that was everyone.
Cissy is preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law. She will be sorely missed by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and her longtime friend and caregiver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
