Caroline Humble Hall, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Caroline was born October 26, 1943 in Wilmington, NC to Hilary Augustus and Carol Slocum Humble.
Caroline grew up in Midland, MI and attended Michigan State University, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. After college, she moved to Manhattan and worked as a social worker in Harlem. She spent her late twenties traveling the world as a transcontinental airline stewardess before moving to Charlotte, NC in the early 1970s. Caroline married Dr. Donald Gammon Hall in 1977. She had an indomitable spirit and was an artist, avid gardener, and beloved mother, wife, and friend.
Caroline is survived by her husband, Don Hall; daughters, Leslie Canale and Melissa Hall; sons, Gammon (Becca) Hall and Joshua (Lauren) Hall; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Sara Canale.
Services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon at Myers Park Baptist Church, Charlotte, NC, with a reception for friends and family to follow.
