Carol Jane Koerfer

Carol Jane Koerfer - devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and loving sister and aunt - passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023 at the age of 86. Carol was born in Chicago in 1936, but spent most of her life in Evanston, Illinois where she grew up with her two sisters - Sue and Lee.

After graduating from the University of Illinois, Carol married RonKoerfer in 1958. Together they raised three children: Tamara, Heidi, and Paul. Carol was a nurturing and caring mother who took great pride in her children's accomplishments and supported them through life's challenges.

Carol was also a proud grandmother to Matt and Megan. She cherished her time with them, and they brought her immeasurable joy. Carol's careers included elementary school teacher and Realtor, but her favorite role in life was being a mother and grandmother.

Carol had a passion for reading, cooking, and board games and will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Carol is survived by her children, her grandchildren, her sister Lee, and her beloved nieces and nephew – Stacey, Krista, and Tim. A private memorial service will be held in her honor.
