C. Michael Wilson

Michael "Mike" Wilson, 74, of New Smyrna Beach, FL died Monday June 25, 2018 while traveling in Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, July 29 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home in the Paul L. Helton Chapel with Pastor Laura Berg officiating. Inurnment will follow on the cemetery grounds. Family will receive friends from 2 PM to 4 PM at Pine Island Country Club.

Born on March 19, 1944 to the late James Wilson and Emma McCullough Wilson in Charlotte, NC, Mike attended the Asheville School, Class of 1962. He studied at Duke University before a long, successful career that enabled him to travel the country and the world.

Mike was an active member of the Coronado Community United Methodist Church and the Anglers Yacht Club, which allowed him to make positive contributions to his community until the time of his passing. Mike will be remembered fondly as a charismatic, generous, humorous, hardworking, and thoughtful man who loved family and friends deeply. He is survived by his wife, Roberta "Bobbi" Wilson; two sons, James P. Wilson and Brian M. Wilson; sister Marie Wilson; and five grandchildren.
