 I have tried to reach out to the Harris family to express sincere condolences and ,so far,  have been unsuccessful in receiving a reply.  If anyone can pass this message along to the Harris family, I would truly appreciate it.

I just found out about Brandon's passing, and I am devastated.  He was not only a wonderful hairdresser, but he was a dear, dear friend, and I will miss him terribly.

I am responding to Doug Therrell's post of March 24th.  Please feel free to contact me at carmenharrington@gmail.com as your email address was not included in your memory and I tried to find a phone number for you.  Thank you ... Brandon was a great friend for a number of years, also my barber. We exchanged many fun stories about my farm background and business, and his garden and other hobbies. Was always friendly and in a great mood and inquiring about my health as I am now 81. So saddened to have Learned just today of his passing. He was truly one of the rare “good guys and gentlemen” left in this world. I am deeply saddened and shocked by his passing.
      If you would be inclined to oblige an old friend of Brandon ‘s, now 81 and on chemo myself, I would appreciate an email with some information on his cause of death. As I am struggling now and will continue to be trying to Reconciled to some kind of closure, yet with lingering fondest memories. My prayers and best thoughts and wishes and regards for all that are suffering through Brandon’s demise.

Brandon, I am still heartbroken.  I think about you all the time and long to have just one more conversation with you.  I never saw you that I didn't leave feeling so much better than when I first arrived.  Need that pick-me-up!  KNOWING that you are in eternal rest gives me great comfort.  This world is a crazy place ... look down on us favorably.  Love you, Brandon.

Many years ago when my family lived in Charlotte, I became friends with Hyman and his family.  Although we lost touch over the years, I was so sorry to hear of Brandon's death.  I too lost a child.  My daughter was 18 years old when she was killed in an auto accident caused by a careless driver.  I can certainly identify with the suffering of Hyman and his family.

I just discovered the news of Brandon’s passing.  I, like many, was a client of his for 30+ years.  He was not only my stylist but a true friend.  He was always so present during our time and we enjoyed catching up about each others families and talking about movies.  I will miss him deeply.  Much love to his family and Gina who I know he loved with all of his heart.

I had been trying to reach Brandon for a week & couldn’t.  Just googled him & saw his obituary - cannot tell you how shocked I was! It was so sudden. Have been a client of his for about 30 years, so I am deeply saddened. My condolences to family & Regina. 
Was it sudden or had he been ill? So very sorry for your loss.

I've been trying to contact Brandon for several weeks now to get my hair cut, and knew something was wrong because his cell phone message inbox was full. Finally googled him this morning to see if I could reach out some other way to check on him, and the first search result was his obituary. He was a great hair guy, but also a wonderful person....calm, patient, and one who remembered all sorts of little life details to ask me about at appointments.  It was clear he had a strong love for his family and his church. I will miss him very much.

I was so saddened upon hearing the news of Brandon's passing.  He was a  truly kind and caring person,  always lending an ear when  you were having a bad day.  And he was a font of information on current and classic movies.  I always left feeling good about my haircuts. Judge and I will miss him! 
My prayers go out to his close knit family and friends.  May you find peace in the memories you made with Brandon over his lifetime. 

Brandon was one of the good people always had a good story and a smile he was taken too young and we will miss him greatly.

I just found out about Brandon last week when I went to have my hair done. I’m still in shock and can’t believe he is gone. To his family and Gina, I know your hearts are breaking. Please know that he loved you all and spoke of you often. I pray that God gives you the strength to move forward, one day at a time. Brandon was my stylist for over 32 years and like many, I followed him from salon to salon. During that time, I felt that I was very special. After reading the other memorials, then I realize that we were ALL special and that Brandon was the one who made us feel that way. He was a very good man, a kind and compassionate soul. He was not only the stylist that I trusted emphatically, he was my friend as well as my therapist. I should have paid him a whole lot more! To Brandon, I’ll miss you and all of our talks. A piece of my heart has gone with you. Know that we are all better people for having you in our lives.

To Brandon's family--
John, Sumner and I are so devastated to hear that Brandon passed away.  John came for a haircut a couple of weeks ago to find a darkened salon.  We thought that surely we would hear from B the next day with some easy explanation.......then a day wore on and became a week, then two. I found Nikki's email address on FB, and got her return email yesterday saying that Brandon had died suddenly.  We're so sad and shocked.  Brandon had cut John's hair for 15+ years, then he brought our 18 year old son into "manhood" by giving him his first real haircut as a young man, passing the baton from his childhood barber.  
He was such a warm and compassionate man, who will be missed by many.  
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and to Regina.

I am totally shocked and saddened to hear of Brandon' s death. I Just found out today. I knew him for 32 years , following him to various salons. He was not only an excellent hair stylist, but also an intelligent and good man. We had so many good conversations through the years. He was my friend, as well as the person I relied on to give me the best haircut! He is in a better place, but we will miss him so much.

I am shocked & heart  broken  to hear of Brandon's passing. I was a client of his  for  20 years.  I considered Brandon a friend of mine. I loved ours talks about  growing up in Charlotte  during the 1980's ,  old movies & great music. I loved to hear Brandon's knowledge on these subjects. I first met Brandon 32 years ago when my wife, Becky, started to go to him for her hair.  It wasn't long before both of us had an appointment every six weeks.  For each of those 32 years, through a   variety of locations, we both looked forward to the time spent with him.  He knew our kids names, what they were doing and he followed them through the growth of their families.  He told great stories, especially the Route 66 trip with his father.  We mourned with him when he lost his grandmother.  He was a bright, sensitive, compassionate friend to both of us and we will miss him greatly.  We saw him just two weeks ago and once again enjoyed the time spent with him.  Warm gentlemen like him are very few and far between.  Rest in Peace, Brandon

I am shocked and speechless. I was trying to schedule an appointment and knew something must be wrong when he didn't respond.  I would never have imagined it was this.  I have known Brandon for over 30 years and followed him wherever he went. He gave my son his first haircut when he was 1 year old (he's now 26) and Brandon would frequently mention that and laugh.  He had given my son the spray bottle to keep him distracted, and my son would squirt him and then giggle over and over.  About a year or two ago I found a picture I had taken that day, put it in a frame, wrapped it up and gave it to Brandon as a present.  He put it on one of the shelves in his area at the salon. He was a friend as well and I will miss him greatly...

I'm in absolute shock finding out about Brandon's death. Knowing him for 20 years, my heart is truly broken over this loss. I just wished I'd known the last time I saw him would in fact be the last. I'd have most definitely hugged him a little longer. 
To Brandon's parents, Gina, sister and nieces, I am deeply sorry for your incredible loss. Sending you all love and light in hopes that only fond memories fill your hearts to overflowing in due time. Brandon spoke so highly of each of you to me over the years.

I just got a call from Trace and found out Brandon passed away.  I'm shocked and saddened to hear this news.  Brandon has cut my hair for over 25 years and became a great friend over that time.  I always looked forward to seeing him each month.  We had such great conversations each time I went.  Gina I feel like I know you as we always updated each other on our families as part of these conversations. I met Brandon on his 40th birthday which was Valentines Day  and he was still making me beautiful for sixteen years. The last time I saw him was Friday. He was a beautiful person and so generous. We had a special friendship and spoke of many subjects while he worked on my hair. He was so gifted. I will miss him. My sympathy to his family and Regina who he spoke of often. This morning, I sat in front of the salon where I last saw smiling Brandon on October 9th.  He is the kindest person I have ever known ... always friendly, listened to every word, offered compassionate thoughts ... always had insightful questions ... truly one of the best people in the world.  He shared stories of his life, his family members, his feelings, his thoughts ... on the very selfish side, what am I going to do without him?  I have seen him every 6-8 weeks for the past 13 years.  I cannot imagine life without him now.  Family ... you should know how much he loved all of you, and was SO proud of all of you.  If there is a Route 66 in heaven, he's there and feeling great! Brandon...In writing this I’m still in disbelief...broken-hearted.  You were not only my hair stylist but a real friend, a true friend.  I followed you from salon to salon and in 18 years never cheated on you once with another stylist...but you knew that.   Every 5 weeks for 2 hours we shared many stories.  I never met Gina or your family but I knew them.  Stories of your trip with your dad down Route 66 and pictures  of your movie star mom.  So my friend, when I think of you I’m sure there will be tears, and laughter but mostly there will be smiles because until this week...there were no bad memories.   I will miss you Brandon.

To Brandon’s  family-I will tremendously miss all the great times, fun times, laughable times, wonderful times with your great son! He was and always will be considered a brother!! 

I remember back when I got married, Brandon was my best man and him, me and my father were driving around in Ohio near Kristen‘s mothers house, and they live an hour outside of Columbus -the area that they live in looks very similar to Mint Hill in the country. As we were driving we saw many homes that had farms attached to them that had sheep. The sheep seemed as though they were not moving- motionless , they looked like statues, and Brandon was beyond amazed and just stared  at them. We had to stop several times for him to take pictures of these sheep and we all stood there waiting for them to move and they would never move.  Brandon went crazy constantly talking about the sheep that they look like statues, but they were real; it was incredibly funny to watch him taking pictures and getting up close to get the best pic and the sheep will just stand there like a statue. At the very last moment we were getting in the car, close the door turn to the right and look out the window, and the sheep completely disappeared into the barn! Brandon went nuts laughing. 

Oh Brandon, How I am gonna miss you! Thank you for allowing me to be your bonus bratty little sister 46 yrs ago! You got to put up with both Kelly and me, the dynamic duo...trust me, I realize that was not easy! You were always one of my favorite people and your laugh was one of my favorite sounds in the world! I will miss all of our talks while you worked your magic on my hair...we had the best time!  You were an amazing friend and an amazing bonus brother...I’ll keep you in my heart always...love you!

Brandon was one of the most kind-hearted individuals I have ever met. My two sons and I have been clients of his for years. He always took such a vested interest in the boys, and in return, they enjoyed their time and sharing stories with him. My oldest son drove 2 hours each way over the 4 years he has been at college just to see Brandon and to get his haircut. My younger son hung on every word Brandon had to say with respect to waiting for his "big break" and to keep persisting at his craft. We were always certain that these messages of encouragement for acting and performing came from Brandon's deep love and devotion for his oldest niece who went to NYC to pursue her dreams. Brandon was so proud of her and his younger niece as well. Stories we will never forget include those about Brandon's first car, how Charlotte has changed over the years, and his favorite vacation spots. I am so grateful for all that Brandon did for me as well--always flexible and willing to work around my busy work schedule and always there to listen. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his memory always be a blessing.

We had loss track with Brandon in his latter years, but I will always remember him with a beet red face after playing with neighbor Brad at around 8 + or - years old, running into the house, open up the frig and take a large gulp of  coke from a 2 liter. Instant recovery. The other time he had a beet red face was when he stated that Judy had popped  it about 50 times for acting up at the theater.
Brandon was always friendly, kind, and loved his family very much. I am sure he will be missed by all of us. Rest in peace.

This is probably the hardest thing I have had to write/say.... Brandon and I have been on a wild ride for the last 15 years.  Yes we have our ups and downs.  I remember all the good times we had, whether we were on vacation at the beach or in the mountains, or at just staying at home.  I have never had someone in my life like Brandon, he was such a thoughtful person. He was caring and funny.  He was loving and sweet.  He loved his family and friends with all his heart but he loved the Lord with all his soul so I know he's in a much better place.  He spent the last several years deepening his walk with the Lord and made me a better person just watching him.  I cant imagine my life without him in it and I am simply heart broken. He will be missed every day but I know he's with his other family in Heaven and I can't wait to see his smiling face again. Love you B! 


I remember, I remember, I remember...oh how I remember! I am overflowing with EVERY big and little memory and I am SO thankful!! You were and are the BEST big brother in the whole world! I thank our Heavenly Father He chose you to be my big brother and for how close we were. We could talk about anything and you were always there for me. THIS is NOT goodbye because I have peace in knowing I will one day soon see you on those streets of Gold in our Father’s house..... until then give granddaddy Roy,GG, grandma and granddaddy Harris,Heather, Joy and Floyd a big hug for me! I remember when Brandon and my brother, Trace, graduated from Southeastern. My Mom, my brother Shannon, and I attended. It was 1984 and I was 13 at time. I was so excited for them, and I looked up to them both. They both had the Miami Vice look going on with the long hair, and the clothes just like from the show. After graduation, I wanted to go out with them to “party” cause I wanted to be cool like them , but Trace called me a baby and I was too young to hang out. Brandon came over to me and said when I get just a little older, I’ll get to go out with them. That meant a lot to me, and I never forgot it. Just a few years later, I started to hang out with them. Brandon was a like a big brother, and I really admired how him and Trace stayed close to each other for 40 years.
