Brandon Joseph DeLuca, 18, passed away on Friday June 20th, leaving behind his mother, Angela DeLuca; brother, Skyler DeLuca; sister, Violet Staubitz; stepfather, Adam Staubitz; as well as a large family which included many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
Brandon was a multi-talented young man, having been blessed with a creative and contagious personality, and had a wonderful sense of humor, for which he will always be remembered. In addition to being a recent graduate of Weddington High School (Class of 2014,aka, The Green Machine), and devout employee at Salsarita’s-Blakeney as well as a monster at Scarowinds for the last two seasons, Brandon was an avid artist/street artist, skater, gamer, and musician with an amazing smile who appreciated a good movie, comic book, or video game as much as he did being outdoors, whether on his skateboard or in the woods. Brandon was passionate about Rock and Roll and savored Classic Rock more than most. Brandon was a burger enthusiast and was known to eat burgers weighing almost as much as he did. Brandon loved riding his skateboard and would often visit Grayson Skate Park, his favorite skate spot on the McAlpine Greenway and could frequently be seen bombing the neighborhood hills. Brandon’s million-dollar smile, generous heart, quick wit, and wonderfully wicked sense of humor will never ever be forgotten.
The Memorial Celebration of Brandon's Life will be held on Sunday, June 29th, 2014, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Colonel Francis Beatty Park's Lake Pointe Hall, located at 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews, NC 28105. Specific Maps and directions can be found online at:
