A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Houser was born on November 15, 1926 to the late Arthur Jack Tucker and Frances Jeannette Frye Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wesley Houser.
Mrs. Houser is survived by her children, James F. Houser of Stanley, Jo Ann Ghant of Lincolnton, Fran H. Tomberlin of Concord, Sandy H. May of Maiden; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 1:00p.m., Monday, September 20 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd. with the Rev. Robert Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
