Billy "Bill" Dean Dillard

Bill is survived by his son Marcus Dillard “Marc”, grandson Cameron Dillard and granddaughter

Cortney Dillard of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his daughter Melissa VanNote “Lisa”

and her husband Rick VanNote, granddaughters Ashlyn, Ellie and Carly VanNote of Waxhaw,

NC. Other survivors include his brothers Vanis Dillard Jr and Roger Dillard and his sisters

Elizabeth Mitchell and husband Johnny and Sonya Singleton and husband Hampton. Other

survivors include many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill was born on April 24, 1943 in Lenoir, NC the son of late Vanis J Dillard Sr. and the late

Gladys Bryant Dillard. Brothers Jimmy Dillard, Jackie Dillard and a sister Betty Ruff, also

preceded him in death.

He moved to Charlotte as a teenager and built his own business “Dillard Carpet & Tile” he

remained self employed.

His family and friends will always remember him as a hard working man who never met a

stranger, loved to laugh, talk about his children, grandchildren and tell stories. Most of all,

enjoyed eating breakfast out with his family and friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only immediate family members will celebrate Bills's life in-person

Saturday December 12, 2020 at 2pm, Rev. Mike Carr will officiate.
