Billie Jean Williams, age 91, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, the 12th of October, 2023. She was very active in her home church where she ran the nursery for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; Sam and Mabel Legg, brothers, Oscar Legg, Mack Legg (Pat), Britt Legg, Donald Legg, and Sisters Louise Steele (Kenneth) and Little Lorraine. She is survived by her husband, Opie Garland, her daughter, Linda (Johnny), Grandchildren Matthew (Leanna), Monica (Brandon). Great Grandchildren Colton, Bailee, Owen, Sidney, Hudson. Sister in laws; Rosalee Legg, Charlotte Legg and Ella Legg, along with many other family and friends. The Williams family will greet friends on Wednesday, the 18th of October from 10:00am to 11:00am with the funeral to follow at Real Life Church, 15434 Lucia Riverbend Hwy Stanley, NC 28164. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn West 4601 Freedom Drive Charlotte NC 28208. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Real Life Church Preschool Ministry.
