Born on May 21, 1963 in Uniontown, AL to Edward Wright and Linda Owens Wright, Betty grew up in Miami, FL. After attending Miami Springs High School and St. Augustine College in Raleigh, NC, Betty settled in Charlotte, NC. She married Steven Graham Hunte. Together they were loving parents to their son, Travis Edward Hunte. Betty was a fraud investigator with Wells Fargo Bank.
Betty loved music especially Elton John, reading, Betty Boop, cooking for her precious family and relaxing by watching the Hallmark Channel.
Her parents predecease her. Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Steven, cherished son Travis and his wife Laura Katherine Hunte and brother Willie E. Wright.
A private service is scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum with a memorial service at 5pm at Eastway Church of God located at 1131 Eastway Drive in Charlotte.
