Betty B. Teague

Betty B Teague, age 90, of Stanley, NC, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on May 8th, 2020. Born in Gaston County, NC she was a daughter of the late Harry Lee and Mae Biggerstaff Barbee. She married Ned B Teague in Gaston County NC on September 30th, 1950.

She was a member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church for 70 years. She was also a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. A graduate of Tryon High School, she also attended Kings business college before starting her career and retiring from ADT Security Services.

She is survived by her children Mike Teague (Tammie) of Stanley, NC, and Phil Teague (Brenda) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Amanda Copley (Carlyle) of Harrisburg, NC, Michelle Cochcroft (Jason) of Columbia, SC, Michael Teague Jr. (Linsey) of Denver, NC, and Lindsay Teague of Columbia, SC; great-grandchildren, Carr, Ethan, Levi, and Etta.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ned B Teague and a granddaughter, Abby Teague.

The family would like to extend appreciation to Shannon Goodman, Christina Hudson, and Lea Ragsdale all of Lincolnton, NC, for their loving and compassionate care.

Also, very special heartfelt gratitude is extended to Ester Sandoval of Bessemer City, NC for her sincere love, compassion, and service to Betty and the family.

Graveside services will be held on May 12th at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse and St. Jude’s Hospital. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.forestlawnwest.com.
