Dolores was born in Belmont, NC to the late Homer and Zuella Setzer on June 23, 1931. She attended Kings College and worked at BellSouth until starting a family and becoming a stay at home mother. Dolores went back to work later for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools until her retirement.
She was a member of Plaza Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and attending circle groups. Dolores loved spending time with and taking care of her family. She will be remembered for her sweet, giving spirit and love for her family and friends. Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Hall McCall, Sr.; by three children Nancy Woodell, Scott McCall and Daniel McCall, Jr.
Dolores is survived by her daughter Lori Melton (Robert) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Dolores's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte with Reverend Michael Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
