She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Zeb E. Hargett, Jr. and her daughters, Debby Lu and Pamela Marion Hargett. She is survived by her son, Zeb (Skip) E. Hargett, III, wife Trina; grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda and Christopher Hargett; and her beloved cat, "Miss Callie".
Betsy was an avid gardener who also loved interior design and decorating. She was a longtime supporter and champion of animals who loved her cats dearly. Betsy worked alongside her husband Zeb in the family owned business, Charlotte Florist Supply Co., until retiring in 1993.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
A service for friends and family will be held 11 am Tuesday, November 10, in the Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Private interment will take place in the Mausoleum.
