Barbara C Parrish

Barbara Carroll Parrish, 73, of Charlotte went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 25, surrounded by her family. She was born in Bullsgap, Tennessee on November 2, 1943 to the late Brumley and Helen Mathes.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Stacey Elder and son-in-law, Mac Elder; their three children, Wyatt, Dakota and Kendra Elder; her sister and best friend, Mitzi McNeil and her husband, Gary McNeil; three brothers, Doug Mathes and wife Katherine, RA Johnson and his wife June and Michael Johnson and his wife Kathy; nieces and nephews, Melissa McNeil, Roman McNeil, Douglas Mathes, Hud Mathes, Lynn Mathes, Kristen Johnson, Robbie Johnson, Valerie Johnson and Lainey Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Sunday May 28 at 1:00 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given in Barbara's honor to the Youth Ministry at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church 1117 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203 or Novant Hospice 324 N. McDowell St., Charlotte, NC 28204. Arrangements under the direction of McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, Charlotte, NC.
