Ann was the daughter of the late Julius DeWitt and Eva Burgess. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ray M. Smith; an infant son; and siblings J.D. Burgess, Jr., and Marjorie Ray.
Survivors are children Lynn Riggins (Mark), Cumming, GA; Ray Smith, Jr. (Teresa), Seneca, SC; and Karen Lawhorn (Ed), Blacksburg, VA; five grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church, Decatur, GA.
A graveside service for Ann will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Magnolia Gardens Cemetery, Charlotte, NC 28226.
