Ann Oates Rorie

Ann Oates Rorie, 90, of Charlotte passed away on September 19, 2016. She was born in Rock Hill on January 19, 1926 to the late Robert Lee and Evelyn Garrison Oates. Ann loved to sew and spend time with her family. She also cherished her time with The Lunch Bunch which included her dear friends from Carmel Baptist Church. Ann and Bill were involved in the starting of 3 churches in Charlotte.

Ann is predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years and her siblings, Sara, Bill, Bob and Jim. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Leonard and son Billy (Carol) Rorie; grandchildren, Will (Hailey) and Caroline Rorie and great-grandson, Liam Rorie. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 Friday September 23 at McEwen Pineville Chapel immediately followed by a visitation reception.

The family would like to especially thank the loving and caring staff of White Oak Manor in Waxhaw.
