Ann C. Reid

Ann graduated from Granite Falls High School as Valedictorian and Cum Laude from Appalachian State University. She later received her Masters at Winthrop University. Ann taught at Granite Falls High School, York County Technical School, and for 29 years at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC.

Ann was an active member of Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the Friendship Circle, the Trinity Sunday School Class and the Mint Hill Women's Club. Ann was a member of Pine Lake Country Club for many years and enjoyed tennis and golf there. She also enjoyed bridge, dominos, and canasta.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kevin Reid; and her brother, Wayne Cline.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gary Reid; her daughters, Kathy Mills, Kutyna Carl, and Kristi Fox (Michael); her six grandchildren, Reid Mills, Matthew Mills (Alysia), Brandon Tart, Shaphyn Carl, Brittain Tart, and MacKenzie Fox; her eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey Mills, Memphis Mills, Jackson Mills, Evan Mills, Owen Mills, Peyton Tart, Skylar Tart, and Riley Tart; her sister, Linda Cagle; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Memorial United Methodist Church, 4012 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held prior from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Graveside Service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4426 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC. A reception will then be held back at the Church in Munday Hall.
