Born January 13, 1932 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Randolph Dixon and Ruth Williams Dixon.
After learning to play the piano around the age of four, Anita began to teach piano lessons at the age of eight. and began performing publicly shortly thereafter. Following her graduation from Queen's College and Greensboro College, Anita became a huge presence in the local music community as a performer, accompanist, organist at a number of area churches, and teaching at Queen's College and Davidson College, as well as privately.
She is survived by her two sons, John Bultmann and Edward Bultman; her brother, Jerry Dixon; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nelson Tritt and a sister, Frances Dixon.
A service to celebrate Anita's life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, June 24th in the sanctuary of Myers Park Baptist Church, 1900 Queens Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
