Amelia Ann McGee

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.

Born March 21, 1945 in Atlanta, GA, Amelia was a daughter of Mary M. Lowe and the late Mahlon H. Lowe. She was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and attended Appalachian State University. Amelia was employed with Litaker Insurance Agency for 33 years, and truly loved her work and co-workers. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Amelia was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed working in her yard.

In addition to her mother, Amelia is survived by her sister, Lynda Irby; her brother, Philip Malry Lowe and his wife, Nancy; and two nephews, Reggie Tamez and his wife, Melissa, and William Alan Lowe.

The family offers their most sincere appreciation to Presbyterian Hospital for the love and care they provided Amelia.
