Carl Stephen “Cricket” Wolfe, 84, of Charleston passed away on November 23, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Howard and Laura Jane Cottrill Wolfe. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Maxie M. Roach and three brothers, Eugene I Wolfe, James Curtis Wolfe, and Eubulas “Booty” Wolfe. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virgie “Lou” Ruggles Wolfe; 3 Sons, Carl “Steve” Wolfe, II and his wife Darla M. Wolfe of Bethany Beach , Delaware; Kevin B. Wolfe of Charleston, and Scott A. Wolfe of Marmet. He was an Air Force Veteran and retired from the United States Postal Service. Carl was a 60 year member of Kanawha Lodge #20 AF & AM, 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Beni Kedem Shrine and Emeritus Member of the Beni Kedem Shrine Patrol. He was a P.U.F.L. Member of the American Legion Post 20, Life Member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Magazine Hollow/Garrison Avenue Area Reunion Group. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Carl Stephen Wolfe will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home. Officiating will be H.R. Whittington, celebrant Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Red House in the Cottrill Edition with Masonic Graveside Rites. Friends and family will gather Thursday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
