LITTLE MOUNTAIN - William B. "Bill" House, Jr., age 63, was born on August 7, 1950 in Columbia, SC. A Little Mountaineer of much integrity, respect, and dignity. He enjoyed every minute of life until he arrived at his eternal resting place on Monday, December 30, 2013.
He was a son of the late William B. House, Sr. and Alma E. Shealy House Cumalander. While growing up in Little Mountain, Bill developed the love of farming and carpentry which led him to enjoy riding horses, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. Bill was a proud graduate of Mid-Carolina and Clemson with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served in the US Army and was an acknowledged Boy Scout and assistant leader to Troop 61. He worked almost 30 years for Energy Solutions and enjoyed semi-retirement working for CRCPD. Left behind to cherish his love and memories are his wife of 27 years, Sandy Franko House; daughter, Emily and son, Benjamin; siblings, Connie Frick (John), Ray Cumalander, Buck Cumalander (Lisa), Linda Medlock (Jamie) and also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Matthew Thomas House. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. With his love and guidance from the Lord, Bill had a very kind and gentle demeanor throughout his life. Bill's sense of humor and loving heart made him stand out in the crowd and provided much entertainment to all that had the privilege of spending time with him
Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014 followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. all taking place at Chapin United Methodist Church located at 415 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin, SC (803-345-2801). In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the American Heart Association at 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or Boys Farm, Inc. at PO Box 713, Newberry, SC 29108.
