Born in Avon Park, FL on July 15, 1944, Sharon was the daughter of the late Ansel Francis Handley and Nancy Dorothy Pond Handley. She spent half of her life in Greenville, SC and later retired in Combined Locks, WI. Due to declining health, she returned to SC late in her life bringing her closer to her daughters and grandchildren.
Sharon attended Greenville High School and later received her GED, while raising her daughters, Jamie and Jan. Sharon had an entrepreneurial spirit and took initiative to immerse herself in business classes. After marrying Grady Miller, she partnered with him to build Honda of Anderson (1973-1976) and then established Grady Miller’s Honda of Greenville in 1976. Sharon went on to open her own business, Miller’s Honda Power Equipment, in 1984. She was instrumental in mentoring other women through the Greenville SBA. Sharon eventually sold her business and moved to Fox Lake, IL, where she spent the latter part of her career as a senior technical writer for Abbott Laboratories.
Surviving are her children, Jamie M. Boggs and Jan M. Mayo (Dale); six grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jerry Ansel Handley, predeceased her.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673.
