Lucille Meetze Derrick, 93, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Lucille was born July 4, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Willie C. and Lessie Derrick Meetze. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, S. E. Derrick.
Mrs. Derrick is survived by her daughters, Donna (Ron) Hicks of Chapin, Glenda (George) Booth of Chapin; granddaughter, Michelle Clayton (Jason) of Chapin; step granddaughter, Danielle Thomas (Andy) of Orangeburg; step grandson, Jason Booth of Saluda; great grandsons, John and Hudson Clayton of Chapin; step great grandsons, Daniel and Brandon Thomas of Orangeburg; two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille attended Chapin High School, worked in the insurance industry, and retired from Richland County Family Court after more than 25 years of service.
Graveside services for Lucille Meetze Derrick will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Megan Lineberger. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
