Larry retired as the chief engineer for Cargill River Division after ten years, then was a truck driver for twelve years. He served in Navy during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1968 and was on the USS Altain, the USS Sheldrake.
Larry was married on October 15, 2005 in Warsaw, IN to his wife, Deborah Stackhouse. He loved story-telling, making people laugh, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, watching T.V., and helping the underdog. He enjoyed watching The History Channel and Looney Toons.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Deborah Stout; step-children, Kevin Osborne of California, Kirk Osborne (Tamar) of Wisconsin, Keith Osborne of Indiana, and Holly Ailes (Andy) of South Carolina; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Stewart (Mike) and Linda Wallace (Don); one nephew, Keith Bigham (Tina) and two nieces, Gina Hall (James) and Jayne Graty (Craig).
A visitation for Larry will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Grace Point Church, 11241 Broad River Road, Irmo, South Carolina 29063, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
