CHAPIN – A memorial service for Judy L. McAlister, 68, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NPCF), PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
Mrs. McAlister was born August 18, 1950 in Seneca, SC, and passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. She was a daughter of the late Jeraldine Crenshaw and Rev. C. V. Landreth.
She is remembered by the many people whose lives she touched over the years. Mrs. McAlister has been described as the “epitome of grace whose light was bright and welcoming” who offered a warm house where all were welcome to join the fun, find sanctuary from their hardships, and become family.
Mrs. McAlister is survived by her husband of 49 years, Terry McAlister; son, Kevin McAlister (Shannon) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Heather Johnikin (Michael) of Chapin, SC; grandchildren, Katie McAlister Greer of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Keeleigh and Cameron Johnikin of Chapin, SC, and sister, Debbie Hayes (Melvin) of Iva, SC.
