Born on October 25, 1942 to Horace and Grace Wheat, Glenda worked for the SC Department of Corrections and later owned and operated a successful small business, The Electric Beach of Irmo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Whigham and six of her eight siblings.
She is survived by three children: Robby Wessinger (Missie), Holly Wessinger, and Alyson Moots (Joedy) as well as seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her brothers, Jim Wheat and Harley Wheat (Lou).
A service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229 on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
