CHAPIN - Funeral services for Doris Frick Meetze, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church Pineywood with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 960 Dreher Island Rd, Chapin, SC 29036.
Mrs. Meetze was born May 17, 1929 in Lexington County to the late Leroy Frick and Katie Stoudemire Frick. She passed away Sunday, January 4, 2014. She retired from General Electric and Phillips Components after 33 years. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, gardening, cooking and loved all of her pets.
She is survived by her children, Bobby H. Meetze (Cindy), Kay Thompson (Mark) and Velvet Chapman (Louie), 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Meetze; daughter, Beatrice Polly Fulmer; sister, Alliene Amick; and her brothers, Lionel, Maurice, Bunion and Thelma “Dick” Frick.
